New Design 04-08 F150 LED DRL LIGHTS
#21
Got my lights in today. They look very nice. I threw them on the truck but haven't hooked up the tube light yet. I just need to decide what I'm going to tap to give them power. I'm tempted to just tap ignition power so they run as long as the ignition is on. I will post pics when I get them all hooked up! Should just be a simple tap since they're LEDs.
Anyone know the best place to tap for 12v ignition?
Are these remade DRL modules any good?

Me, I usually go straight under the steering wheel column and use a T-Tap in my ignition wire. Not the most comfortable spot to be tapping into a wire but once I remove all the panels there's enough room to work. Plus it's closer to the hole in the firewall to run the wires out. The ignition wire under the steering wheel column is BK/LG (Black / Light Green Stripe).
You can clearly see the BK/LG wire on this picture (under steering wheel column)

That is super helpful txfrd! I'm going to do exactly that.

If you want to run DRLs, check the underhood fuse box. There should be some blank spots to plug in the relays and fuses. Check the owners manual or the Canadian spec trucks

Lights are on but not hooked up yet. I just hard wired one to my battery to see how it looks. I like it. It can be a blinker but you'd need to wire it to do that. I'll upload that pic.
