Default need some quick advice

soo i got a 2004 f150 fx4. a couple months ago i installed a HBS 2.5" leveling kit, and last night i ordered some 20" rockstars (i know there played out but i love em lol) with some 35" tires. ive read up and am hoping there gonna fit ok. so my question is, should i be re-gearing? anything i should do? any advice would be appreciated. thanks everyone!

well personally I have never lifted a truck, I did have a 2" leveling kit but removed it, and I'm not 100% certain but I don't think you can clear that big of a tire and as far as the re-gearing goes I personally would, that is my opinion but if anyone else thinks you may be able to leave the gear ratio the same then they may be right other than that I have no advice for you, i can however tell you that it is harder on your 4x4 components and hubs when you have bigger tires

You should be able to fit with minimal to no rub. Check the tire fitment guide stickied to the top of this thread. As far as the re-gearing goes its really up to you. If you plan on going with a lift, then I would plan to, but with just the 35's unless you really feel like your truck is slacking I wouldn't sweat it. Just my .02

You probably will rub. Another guy here with Rockstars and 35's rubbed and he trimmed the corner of the wheel well to relieve it. Why would you ever buy Rockstars, SO LAME.

It's not really hard, you just need to be careful and go slow. Start by cutting the plastic fender flares at the bottom, if you have them.

I haven't done it, but I'd start small with a dremel or similar rotary cut off wheel. Sawzaw could F it up real fast if it get out of control.
