Default Need shocks, suggestions.

My truck is need of some shocks. I have the 2 inch level, and was wondering who got which shocks? I heard Bilstein was the way to go, but since my truck has the level and 3 inch body lift I don't need the 5100's do I? Any help appreciated..

Yeah the level kit and body lift dont make a difference for choosing your rear shocks. Whatever you choose will be fine. The bilsteins are a choice favorite though. I am running Fox shocks and like them. They ride semi stiff but offroad they are awesome.

I love my Bilstein 5100s. They wont effect the rear height, but I did get them since they gave me a level.

Thanks guys I will look into getting the bilsteins.. I'm getting the chopping sound with my Mud tires and was told it was probably my shocks.. I bought the truck with 63,000 on her and now has 95,000. Don't know if shocks were ever replace.

No you do not...the 5100 is an adjustable leveling shock...you can find another series Bilstein for your replacements...you would be wasting your money buying the 5100 series unless you want to remove your leveling kit.

Ok next question. It is only 30.00 difference between bilstein 5100 and their HD shocks. Should I remove my level kit and get the 5100 and just adjust it the 2 inches? or save 30.00 and go with the HD shocks?
