I have a 05 Lariat 2WD and want to get new rims, tires and a 2.5" or 3" leveling kit.

Two questions:

Rims: 18" Moto Metal 951 Black
1st question : better to go with a -12mm or +30mm offset?

Tires: Nitto Trail Grappler
2nd question : which is the biggest size one I can go without having too much problems, 285/65-18 or 295/70-18

I like the tires to stick out a little bit from the fender, I ordered a Bushwacker fender flares (pocket style).

Thanks for the help

Does anyone know if the QuickLift can clear 35's on an '04 FX4? I know they're adjustable, and if I use the off-road setting, would that lower the shock's height? or would it just cause it to compress more, making it more probable for the tires to rub pretty bad?

I like the idea of the quicklift, but if I want to squeeze in 35's I'm wondering if I should just go with a 2.5" leveling spacer...

Yeah I like the 20'' blacked out rims (don't know which brand yet) with Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ tires. But for now I think I'm just gonna stick with the stock rims, or paint them black and find some good used tires, give me a few more weeks to save up for nicer rims and tires.
Harley Davidson headlights, smoked out tail and 3rd brake lights is already IN PROGRESS
Need advice on lift kits, 2.5" is cost around $150 but a 4" cost $1400, WTF ?? I'm lost
the leveling kit is just a spacer the lift you have to drop you diff longer knuckles brake lines and more i just did 3in spacer 50$ e bay 18 monsters and some 35s

i would do helper air bags in the back because you can air them up so your truck still sits level when you got your bike in the back

tint your windows, that'll always change the look.... it's cheap and makes a big difference in appereance. 2" leveling kit would give you plenty of room for 33" tires you'll need at least a 6" lift kit for 35" tires otherwise the tires will rub especially when you make tight turns. I wouldn't recommend aggressive off road tires unless you do alot of off roading. Plus pavement will eat em up, you should be able to squeeze tint 33" tires and 2" leveling kit for 1500 bucks
