need help keep breaking wheel studs
lets start off by telling you what i am working with...i have a 2008 f-150 lariat that i put a 6 in lift on from 4 wheel parts..i have moto metal 957 18 in wheels and nitto trail grappler 35x12.5x18s on it ... recently i was driving down the road and all of a sudden my wheel broke loose and dropped me to the pavement..so i fixed it and last night i was checking tightness of lugs and broke a stud off...my question is anyone else had this problem and what to do to correct it.. thanks in advance
Somebody (possibly shop that put on the tires or previous owner or you...) over torqued the lugs. I would recommend replacing all the studs just to be safe using quality parts. Also I wouldn't go over 120ftlb on the lug nuts, discount tire says to do 100...

Is it possible that those rims are placing a severe load on the lugs? Perhaps the stock lugs where not meant for the wheel/tire size. I'd check into having stronger lugs if the problem is not as simple as over-tightened lug bolts.

Page 249 of the owners manual says 14mm wheel studs are 150 ft/lbs,

There is also a reason you are supposed to re-torque wheels after 50 miles.
It prevents tires from flying off and hitting people.
