So iam buying a 06 f150 for 5500 . Thing is he just told me that theres codes . Engine light on etc. He also tells me that when temp gauge is half way at high rpms it drops down and the truck makes the beep sound. He gave me this screenshot of what the codes are . Is this truck worth the buy or is it gunna cost me too much to fix .

Define “cost too much” to fix? How much is too much?
Are you doing the work or paying someone?

Yeah I'm with Darrin on this one. I'd pass unless this guy would let me take it to my mechanic and get it checked out. A 100$ in labor now and knowing the cost to fix later is better than a big surprise done the road. And I'm of the opinion of it were a minor issue the owner would have taken care of it already.

Maybe I'm a glass half full kind of guy but I would play it like this:
The code is saying the coolant temperature sensor is erratic, not that the coolant temperature itself is going high.
Truck is probably putting itself into limp mode because of the sensor output. Maybe somebody who knows more can chime in on this.
Use it as an excuse to beat down the seller to a bargain price based on a crapped out engine.
If it's just the sensor you made out like a bandit. If it turns out to need an engine swap then you will have paid the right price.
Somebody told me once that mechanical repairs are relatively easy and that bodywork is expensive...I try to use that as my guide when buying used...

Extended/regular/crew cab? What sort of miles are on this thing? Existing timing work? 4x4? Proper functioning IWEs? Original plugs/coils? Rust on the frame (including was rust quickly painted over? These are all questions to find answers to, as the drastically effect the nature of the price.
