Default Mystery cable

Just bought an 06 f150 and pulled this out from the pedal area near the diagnostic port. It wasn't plugged into anything. Anyone know what it is or what it's for? Thanks

you forgot to post a pic. Did you follow the other end to see where it went and/or if it was plugged/connected into anything?

not much to go on, but that genera area is often where wires are run to Aftermarket brake controller (which is typically mounted in general area of OBd diag port)

Looks like some type of OBD II adaptor/splitter installed by some previous owner.

Does the piece of paper that is taped over have more information than the number we can see.

that looks like it was a cable for a monitor or tuner. One end went to obd port. Other end was likely routed up to corner of dash/pillar area (where the monitor/tuner would have been). Assuming you don’t find the monitor/tuner, it will be useless and can just be removed.

tried to send you a PM, but your settings done allow it. I think that cable fits my tuner. I would like to have it if you are otherwise going to toss it (I’d pay postage). Shoot me a msg if you can.

Absolutely you can have it. Shoot me a text 732-540-2201. When you say Tuner did you mean like radio? Not performance tuner? And just curious why it would plug into the port? Thx

I’ll msg you. Yes, performance monitor/tuner/gauges, not Audio.
