Default Mysterious Dinging

Hey Guys and Gals,
I recently bought a 2004 F-150 STX and when I'm driving , sometimes I hear a dinging. Like the dinging that either your door was left open or you didn't click your seat belt. It throws absolutely no codes what so ever.. For what it's worth, it's the 4.6 Liter.
Part of me wants to find the speaker and cut the wire, but thought I'd ask you..
Any suggestions> I can send a mini video of the Dinging if nessessary

I think if you cut the wire to your chimes you won't be alerted of a bigger problem.

Do the interior lights every come on.
It's common for a door switch to fail or work intermittently. If you have an interior light lighting, possibly a door switch thinking the door is opening.

Do any indicator lights on dash light up during chimes?

have you checked (at startup) to see if all of your dash indicator lights are functional?

NO lights on the dash what so ever.. If I drive down the highway or when I first start up, it will go through about 3 cycles of 5-6 dings then stop. Or if I hit a larger bump in the road..then it will trigger it again

You were asked, but didn't answer - do any interior lights come on?

If no, do they come on when you open the door?

Do you have your seatbelt buckled?

Do you have a dog sitting on the front right seat?

Sounds like your airbag light is burned out. That makes a series of chimes.

i just went back and read this post again. Want to clarify, when you first get in truck and turn key, you don’t have (warning) lights on your dash that illuminate and then go dark; as part of the normal startup cycle?

if you don’t, then I think there are bigger (than the occasional dinging) issues to look into. If that is the case, have you checked all of your fuses?
