Default Muffler Only Or Cat Back

Im Looking To Add Magnaflow To My Possible Upgrade List And Dont Know What I Should Be Looking At. (cat Back Or Muffler Only) Why Should I Buy An Expensive Cat Back Kit ($300 To $800) When I Can Get The Same Muffler A Lot Cheaper And Use My Stock Pipe. My Stock Pipe Is 2.5" And Is Mandrel Bent. Has Anyone Here Done This.

an aftermarket catback is 3" and if you go with magnaflow, itll be all stainless.

Is That Really Worth Spending $500 More Over Just Buying The Magnaflow Muffler For Around $100? Are The Performance Gains Between 3" And 2.5" Really That Much?

I went with a custom bent true dual 2.5" with 2 magnaflow mufflers. I would do that. The whole dual system only cost me 400.00 nistalled. No its not mandrel bent, but this setup is good for 650 hp, which I doubt the truck will ever see.

I have installed Magnaflows in the stock location. The maggie is smaller so you will have to buy pipe to put it in. I am going to do it for the wifes Avalanche too. That will be in a couple of weeks. I will be changing the muffler and tailpipe though.
