Great thanks for the advice. I'm using the app on my phone and actually just found the search function. Great advice!

I understand how much the truck weights and I understand that many factors affect mpg but this was more on a broad spectrum to assure me that as a new pretty stoked owner there wasn't something wrong right away with mileage I'm getting....if need be I can pm anymore questions I have directly to you for your approval before posting in a forum literally designed for me to ask these stupid questions I have...either way thanks again for the responses!
Hey Crbartz, I must apologize to you. I can absolutely see where your concern is coming from since the truck is new to you and you simply just didn't know our trucks just get ****ty gas mileage. the part of this that annoys me is all the peeps trying to give an exact gas mileage number.... like 12.6 or 16.9... This subject has been beaten to death here and people saying the get a 12.6 or 14.7 MPG just drives me crazy because that MPG number is always going to differ since NO drive is the same, EVER... at 12 MPG youre in the ballpark of getting what you should be getting. and per the window sticker try the link below, insert your VIN and boom you have it.

6500 pound trucks get yardage, not mileage

I'm averaging between 11 city and 15 highway. But I calculated an average of 13 on a full tank. Oh yea I'm on 6" lift and 35s.

When someone asks me what I get for gas mileage- I say about 12 in the city about 16 highway and "its worth every penny!" we drive 6000 lbs. plus trucks with V-8s, stop worrying about gas mileage unless you are getting some crazy low number or on the other side of the coin and you get 34 MPGs.... and stop with the 13.8 or 10.97 crap! The window stickers from the factory say are trucks are estimated to get 13 city and 17 highway.... So unless you are getting some number way off from these don't be concerned. your gas mileage will always change depending on numerous factors; how full the tank is, which way the wind is blowing, how many people are in it, if you have the AC on, if you're drunk and driving foolish, if you have a hot chick with you and are getting road head......
HAHA! Dude I hear ya but...

I've drove 9,969.0 (put the .0 in just for you!!!) between August 29th and my last fill up yesterday. I am **** about keeping track of every fill up, mileage per tank, and maintenance to see what, if any, changes there are. I can tell you so far that Level II highway mpg is 13.465 versus 13.099 on level I, both on 87 octane. 89 octane makes no difference. So why waste the $$? Now I'm playing with ignition timing. So now you can see why some of us carry out the decimal.

I've also noticed that I get better gas mileage when I fill up in Greenville, NC rather than my hometown. Not to mention its $0.15 cheaper on average.

I also get better mpg heading driving east versus driving west. hahaha its that 420 foot drop over 80 miles. Or maybe air temperature difference from heading east in the mornings when its cooler?!

And running the AC makes no noticeable difference in my rig.

Another factor, at least in the states were we get winterized fuel, I usually get on average a 2mpg drop in mileage.

wow... I'm speechless... but only for a second. you are definitely **** about the science and for the 420 foot drop consider not only air temp but the "thinness" of the air at higher elevations...
