Default Mpg

Anyone know what I can do to get better mpgs? I have a 2005 F-150XLT with the 5.4 v8. I have a flow master exhaust and a sct tuner. Im getting around 11-12 city and high 14 almost 15 on highway (which I usually have my motorcross bike in and gear heading to the track. About 300lbs +/- all together. I dont have a heavy foot but I dont drive like an old lady either. Any help or suggestions? Thanks.

Sounds like you have a pretty high rear gear. I'm running a 07 5.4 with 355 rear gear and getting 15 city and high 17 highway

Oh and I have 285x70x17 which I know makes a difference. I was just wondering if others have the same size tires and get a diff. mpgs on city and highway.

HA maybe I have a lemon. Have you ever heard of fuel injector problems? My truck kind of idles a little rougher than it should. It has 33,000 miles on it. My bumper to bumper warranty is good until 75,000 miles and the only thing that ford automatically extends is the fuel injectors which makes me a little suspicious... Ever hear of this problem? Thanks...

Sounds about right. Start driving like an old lady and it will go up a little more.
