Motorcraft E fan install
I have wanted to convert to electronic cooling fans for some time and finally got around to doing it. I have picked up a lot of good ideas from this forum and others so none of this is original but I wanted to document what I did so it would be in one place for others. I have a 2006 F150 SCREW 2WD with the 5.4.
The parts:
Amazon.com: Flex-a-lite 31163 Variable Speed Control Module with Threaded Temperature Sensor: Automotive
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161180706810...84.m1497.l2649
I got the Fan assembly "on sale" so my total was around $455
Disclaimer: This is what I did, if you do the same and bad stuff happens I am not responsible.

Awesome! This is exactly what I've been looking for. How does it bolt up to the radiator? Is this an exact fit? Which switch power did you you use or did you just hook the controller right off the battery?
Any update pictures of the install??? TIA.
Edit:
Oh! I see more pictures are starting to coming now. I'll wait till you're done.

I picked up the switched power and AC signal from the box on the drivers side fender. The green wire is the AC, and the red is the switched power ( the wire I added). I soldered these connections and then warped it in F4 tape. If you have never used F4 tape it is awesome for the right applications. It is not sticky but bonds to itself, it makes a much better seal than electrical tape.
