Default Most Power for about a grand?

I sealed up a vehicle I will can use from April to May as a daily driver, so I think it's time I put a bit of money in my truck, because I can afford having it down for a few weeks. I'm going to go ahead and fix my cam phaser tick first. And getting an edge tuner. Then after that I'm looking at dropping around a grand into my truck. First thought is for headers and high flow cats. Right now the truck just has an CAI and 2 1/4 Duals with an X pipe. Looking mostly for Bottom end. Suggestions would be wonderful as to other things I can to do to pep this baby up! - I've been looking at bigger injectors as well, just cannot see how I'd get a gain from them.

CAM...camcamcamcamcamcamcam.

I'd find myself a low rpm cam, redo the top end and have a custom tune made

There aren't many low end cams and the cams in it are already for mostly low end torque.

But what engine are we talking here? 5.4 or 4.6?

The 5.4 already has low end cams. The 4.6 has a pretty high power band.

I would not look towards cams... Id look in to tuner for low torque and all... The x pipe is more for high rpm an H pipes are for low... Although you prolly would never feel the diff between the 2... Not much you can really do... What gears and tires do you run

I've got the 5.4, haven't really looked into Cams, figured there wouldn't be much considering how little there is out their for this engine.

This. You would spend nearly a grand on cams.
