Default Need new gearing?

So I've got an 08 Screw FX4 with 35's. I have added power mods (CAI, Exhaust, and BullyDogtGT) do I need to change my gears? I have 3.73 from the factory.

Some will say you do, some will say you don't. I doubt you HAVE to change, it is probably more of if you WANT to change, if that makes sense to you? Are you happy with the performance as it is now?

If your happy then I wouldnt' change. Me personally, I wanted to change and I did from 3.73 to 4.56 and never looked back. Am I happy that I did? Oh yeah, no question no doubt about it. Was the difference in performance between the two worth it to me? Again, oh yeah and no question about it. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.

Like I mentioned previously, in most cases it comes down to if you want to more than the necessity to change.

This is just me and my opinion and going on what I did with my truck. There are many others out there that are extremely happy with their stock gears that have other opinions as well based on what they do with their truck and how they want theirs to perform.

I agree with Buckshot...it's all in what you want out of your truck. I currently have 3.73 gears and would love to change to 4.56 but can't justify spending the money on it. So in my case I'm happy with the performance.

I went from 3.55 to 4.56 and difference was night and day. Way more power. Mileage for me was still around 14 mixed if I took it fairly easy.

Oh yeah, the gains are noticeable in performance. As for the MPG, I have never sat down and calculated my MPG other than the generic how long it takes me between fillups. IF it has changed, it hasn't changed enough either better or worse to make any difference, at least to me. But the performance change was well WELL worth it in my opinion. Until I got my Gryphon the gear change was by far the best mod I have done to my current truck and like I mentioned previously, I would do it again in a heartbeat. Just some FYI, I use mine as a daily driver and run her pretty hard on the weekends.
