Default More Shudder Issues

HELP!

I had a shudder issue when turning from a stop & thought it was the clutch packs, but it turned out to be the int. steering shaft. Nice hefty bill there, & now I'm having another shudder issue. A while back I had the TC shudder going into overdrive & put in 2.0oz of Dr Tranny shudder fix that worked well. This shudder is just after turning, and sometimes coming to a stop, going through the low gears. (When motor is cold) It's almost like it loses power and/or is slipping. Could this be the TC itself? Or maybe still the clutch packs/rear? I'm thinking I should try a full tranny flush, or change rear fluid, or both. Not really sure where to attack first.

Never since I've owned it have I had the tranny serviced. I just took the truck in today for a full flush and filter replacement. I checked the fluid last night and it seemed darker than it should be so I'm hoping the issue is just bad fluid.

Hey everyone,

After fixing all of my steering issues (Int. Steering Shaft), adding friction modifiers to the rear end, & getting my tranny fluid replaced.. the shudder is better, but not gone. It seems far worse when going from a cold start. Today it was probably worse than before I had changed the tranny fluids. Just after a turn it hesitates and feels like a loss of power, then catches and I continue...sometimes when coming to a stop it will shudder when I'm going 10mph or under. The worst today was when I was taking a righthand turn through a light and it sounded like it locked up. Could this be the torque converter or anything other than Tranny/RearEnd??? Its really driving me nuts and I'm moving very soon so I need to be able to haul & tow a trailer.

It sure sounds like a Tranny issue to me? With what you described I can't see how it could be your rearend.(God this response I just made sounds sooo wrong on so many levels)

I think I may try adding another 2oz tube of Dr Tranny (even tho I know its just a patch) just to see if it helps. If it goes away well then I know for damn sure what the issue is. Has anyone heard of Dr Tranny having any ill effects to the transmission?

After reading through TONS of forums on shudder issues.....My list of things to attempt: TCM reflash, recheck U-joints, check/lube slip yoke, then finally (if TCM reflash doesn't work) I will add the 2oz of DrTranny to see if it really is the Torque converter going.
