Default MOOG Ball Joints

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with MOOG Ball joints?? I had all 4 ball joints replaced approx 3 months ago and couldnt have been happier with the ride quality after that. Lately that ride quality has gone south again. I recently took a look at the ball joints and noticed that there was grease all over the steering knuckels and the inside of my rims. The grease in the rims actually made me think my wheels were off balance thats how much was in there. But, my question is, is it normal for all this grease to be pouring out of the boots? Ive had to top them up a couple of times due to the fact of some noise I can hear while going over bumps and a generally crappy ride. At the time of the replacements I had new bilstein shocks installed all around as well so I know thats not the issue. My issue is this grease everywhere making a mess of my wheels and resulting in a crappy ride bouncing everywhere. I filled the lowers today and noticed a small hole in the boot causing grease to push its way out of a pin hole. Im very dissappointed in these ball joints and think Im going back to Motorcraft parts, this is crazy. Truck has 95,000km on it, 2008 fx2 rwd with 2011 22" Harley wheels. Anyone have any insight on why these boots are leaking so soon??? Thanks in advance...

I'm completely confused, because all told there MIGHT be a tablespoon of grease in your ball joints.

Sounds to me like you put to much grease in them and they busted. Moog is the way to go on suspension parts

Can't be CV boots, Fx2 doesn't have 4x4 by definition.

Hence the confusion. Nothing in the front end should have that much grease in it.

So lets say these boots are busted, which completely sucks ***, is the only option to replace them again? Its a 2wd with no CV joints in the front, the only greaseable fitting in the front are on the ball joints.

Wouldnt there be something in the ball joint that allows for excess grease to spill out, without damaging the joint?

Moog are great parts... sounds like someone did a shoddy install. Hole in the boot will allow water in and they will eventually fail.

Definitely sounds like they were over filled with grease and the boots busted. Not that hard to do, especially if you have a pneumatic grease gun.

I guess I'll be ordering some ball joints. Is there any other brand besides Moog that someone could recommend or does everyone have success with their stuff?
