Default Misfire/Bogging Issue...HELP!!

Should have had this in there first...2006 F150 XLT

Ok here is where I am...already down $1700 from the Ford dealer, and still the same issue. I am getting a misfire on #5 cylinder. The truck will misfire/shudder around 50ish mph...completely feels bogged down. Also the idle is not very smooth....you can almost feel the motor misfire at times. This happens pretty much uphill only. On flat I do not get a misfire, but you can just feel the truck is missing power. All 8 spark plugs and coils have been replaced, the #5 plug has been replaced twice. Anyone have any ideas??

What year truck is it? Have you swapped cops with another cylinder to see if it follows? If the plug and cop are known to be good then I would look at the injector. If you have a 05 there is an extended warranty for a known injector problem.

truck is an 06. I guess that would explain the #5 misfire code...Do you think maybe a clogged cat or bad solenoids?

I would fix the misfire first. What solenoids are you referring to? The misfire could be caused by a stuck open/closed injector if the plug and cop are good. You say you have replaced the cops. From my research cops seem to have a high failure rate, even out of the box. Swap cylinder 5 cop with another cylinder. If the misfire follows were you stuck the cop then you can assume it is bad. If the problem stays on cylinder 5 then I would check the injector.

Yea the coil was swapped 2 new ones, and also moved it to another. Still the same misfire. Any idea where I could find info on the injector warranty?

Just curious about the statement about the injector problem....Is it an ext warranty or a recall issue. My pickup doing very similar thing; occasional miss and hesitating when throttle is wide open for passing. I just Sea Foam'd it this weekend without any real result. I assume I have a fouled plug causing the miss. (87000 miles close enough to 100k for a plug change for me, just hoping none of them break off)

Anyone know more about the warranty work for the injectors or had it actually done with Ford paying for it?
Thanks

I will see if I can find a link to the ford letter tomorrow when I'm at a pc. It was an extended warranty not a recall. I believe it covered 05 and maybe some early 06 trucks that were built at a certain plant. It basically said that ford will replace any faulty injectors and damage caused by them. If u have one bad injector then they will only replace the bad one. U can try searching 05 injector letter and I am sure that will help you more than I can.
