i have an 04 scab, purchased in 2006, with 48,000 on the clock, currently its got 103,000 on tthe clock and i don't imagine any problems with this, always been taken care of, first with dealership extended warrenty and secondly now with me. i enjoy turning wrenches - gives me something to do...in my spare time.

I bought my 07 Ford F-150 FX4 with 17,000 miles on it. I got the truck for $21K.. and my girl got her 07 Ford F-150 STX with 13,000 miles on it for $12,500. . . What i am trying to say is people are lookin to get rid of the 04-08 years for cheap.. and when they first came out they wanted regular price of $32K - $40K... Now you can get them like $10K less.. with low mileage.. the truck you are referencing to you should be able to get it for $10K easily.. or don't take it.. dealers got the same truck somewhere with lower miles...

ohhh ok, but usually bank sells them out from people who couldn't pay off their loan and they reposses the car, then auction it off to pay off the difference of what they basically "lost"

up here, they have that too... but my father just purchased a 2007 Mercedes E350 with 20k miles on it for 27,500... where brand new, sticker price was roughly $53,000. and there is nothing wrong with the car, it rides beautifully and all... but he did manage to scrape off a side amber reflector on the garage door the first week he got it lol

thanks for all of the info guys. Not sure where most of you are located, but here in KY, $13,000 is a decent price for an 04 SuperCrew FX4 with 120,000 miles. Kelley Blue Book on it is $13,900. The delaerships here want $17k-$18 for an 04 with 90,000-100,000 miles. Maybe I need to come to where some of you are and buy.

i actually bought mine in bowling green, mine had 78,000 on it when i bought it, it is a stx with less options than what youre looking for prob but mine had the wheels already on it when i bought it, but my point is i got mine for a little over 12.... you just have to play hard ball dont be afraid to walk away if they dont do you right there are many other dealers out there with gladdly take your businees especially if another dealership is involved

Also when looking for a vehicle, I cannot stress enough to look more then in just your local town. IE if you are willing to travel up to 5 to 10 hours to go pick one up, your horizon's will expand dramatically. And unless you need it NOW, take your time and look til you find one that is exactly what you want for the price you can afford...

The only thing that bugs me about higher milage trucks these days isn't so much the motor or tranny, its all the damn squeeks and rattles over every bump you hit! Just got my Screw with 42k miles from Carmax 1 owner local trade in and its still silent as a vault. Ford did well with this interior...

Maybe some of those higher mileage trucks have been romped off road a lot because mine has 108k and is very quite. I guess maybe i just got lucky. Oh well, has to happen at least once in my life. How does the old saying go... "A rainbow shines at least once on every dogs ***"
