Question might have problems with roush!!

so i just got a roush CAI and check out this picture, im thinking if i go mudding my truck is gonna suck in some water or mud! so tell me if you have any idea or solution or whats gonna happen thanks

let me check mine out in the morning i went mudding this weekend and didnt even think about it sucking in water now you got me worried thanks man haha jk ill look for you in the morning to see if its dirty

hahah thanks bro its because when i had the original intake in i saw there was water and mud spots in my hood and i have a friend that messed up his engine like that, i just dont want it sucking anything in and messing it up

yeah i would seal that up. everytime i go mudding my engine is covered in muddy water at the end.

Buy a "sock" that slips over it. My Harley uses an open K&N filter, and the kit it came with provided a fine mesh black "sock" that I can slide over it when it rains. I keep it in the saddle bag for this reason; you could keep it in the glove box, then you can remove it after the mudding event.

It does a good job of keeping the filter dry, still allows airflow, and in your case would easily keep the mud out of the filter.

yes i have to get one of these for my 02... there called "pre-filters" i beleive thats what you are talking about

Could be...I've seen them for sale seperately, but cannot remember the company names or web sites. A quick check on K&N's site would be good to check.
