Default metal dragging or pinging sound

i have a 2006 scab and this morning I went to get some wax to wash my truck today. when I was on my way back I was going up a hill and towards the top I heard a loud metal dragging/pinging sound and it happened three or four more times today. I cant figure out what it could be and when I try to replicate it, it never does it, but it only happened when going up a long slight grade but as soon as a took my foot off the gas it stopped. so if anyone knows what I could check and how to check it please let me know thanks

I thought about that but I had a little less than a 1/4 tank when it happened and it didn't happen when it was full

I'm also leaning towards IWE. Put your truck in 4WD and see if the sound goes away. If so, do a search for IWE and you will get a ton of info for things to check.

As a guy told me....sounds like you are dragging a chain link fence. Just bought an 05 that was doing this same thing. Solenoid behind the battery was the culprit. All the water runs off the windshield right onto this solenoid. They have a new solenoid that has a rain cover on it so that the solenoid is shielded from water run off.
