Default MESSING AND MODDING! 15" Sub interior paint ect

Hey guys. Its kind of my thing to make whatever vehicle I own exactly the way I want it so im always messing with things. Iv had this awesome 15" Rockford Fosgate T2 dual 2-ohm 2000w max subwoofer. It weights at least 60-70lbs and is almost a foot deep. This sub moves some serious air. I think the box calls for 4.22cu ft of airspace inside the box and has to be ported. I have the extended cab so I have the bench style fold up seats.

I am trying to find someone selling the small 1/3 section of rear fold up seat and the bracket that supports the 1/3 and 2/3 sections. What I am trying to do is turn my full rear bench into 2 1/3 bench sections so that I can fit a center console in the back without losing the ability to fold up the seat. Has anyone heard of this or seen this anywhere? Will I be the first to try something of this nature? Kind of outlandish I know, but this is the YouTube video that inspired this idea. Still not sure if thats ext cab or full 4 door but any help would be awesome. I WILL make this happen. I have the subwoofer and Hifonics 2000w max amp that I am going to run at 1 ohm stable. Also have a 3.0 farad capacitor so I dont rape my battery and alt. Anything I am missing?

On the interior, I am trying to paint a few things because I got the dull grey cloth interior. I painted the overhead console flat black with Fords special super anti corrosion paint (love this paint for everything). What do you guys think? I like it. Thinking about doing the window switch panels as well, the upper door trim pieces, the seat belt cover trims, the step panel underneath the doors, some of the center console and dash. Is it possible to paint that rubbery material that some of the door panel pieces are made of? Does anyone know? Is there special flexible paint that might work? Dont want to ruin my interior just spice it up lol.

Grill should be on the way with some nice fog lights from ebay for $220. Got the black vertical bar style. Pinion seal and our favorite fun spark plugs are going in this weekend. Looking around for wheels but I am super picky about these. Cant find anything common that I truly like. I really wanted the old style harley replica wheels in black but they dont exist. Only in chrome.

Also last but not least... if anyone has ANY idea where to find a complete dash so I can convert my column shift into a center shift?

This is my truck

This is my overhead console in black and a few pics of how it comes apart.

I identified it with my "flick test". I flick the panel. Hard plastic sound is paintable and when you flick the other one it is almost silent like its absorbed.

Your sub idea sounds exactly like what I wanted to do to my 04 Screw. I never got around to it because I got T-boned. But another option you could do is find a totaled truck with bucket seats and put them in the back. That was my second plan. I say go for it! Because I'm think of trying it with my '11 if I can find matching seats.

Will the buckets fit? And if they will ill grab some in a few weeks. Also will there be ANY leg room in the back if I put in buckets on an ext cab? I'm pretty handy I think the box building will be the easiest part.

Ok so I went to home depot and stopped at the auto parts store. $20 for plastic paint, silicone sealant, 220 sandpaper, and 600 sandpaper. I grabbed a can of Night-Shade spray tint for $14 from the auto parts store. Planned on tinting the tail lights and doing the harley conversion to my headlights.

At work this morning I took a can of our hi-temp anti corrosion paint (same as the interior paint) and undercoated most of the bottom side of my truck. She is already clean but now I know she wont rust at all this winter and she looks even better than factory underneath! Take a look at the pics. I found a 9.75" pinion seal in another techs pile of bonus parts which saves me $20 and found 2qts of 75/140 full synthetic gear oil laying around which saves me another $40. $5 for the friction modifier for those clutches and I will buy another qt of gear oil so I can take the cover off, really clean it good, paint it and reseal it.

I had a can of Fords hi-temp anti corrosion coating and some Preval sprayers from work so I removed (by hand no tools even needed) the kick panels (fake diamond plate strips) the window switch panels in front and back, the upper mid door latch cover, the seat belt trim inserts, the side dashboard cover trims (the piece with the hole that allows air to pass into the door panels, and the upper trim pieces for the rear doors. I sanded everything down with 120 and some pieces had to get sanded with 600 afterwards and repainted to come out really smooth.

I sanded down the tail lights with 600 just to give em a light haze. Cleaned everything with rubbing alcohol to prep it. I used clear packing tape to cover the clear reverse light lenses and a razor to cut it very carefully and peeled away the extra. This took some care and time. Gave them 3 coats and they look awesome.

And even found some time earlier this week to replace all 8 of our nightmare spark plugs. Not a single break! Lucky me. To a customer each plug is $24 I believe. By buying them from the Ford warehouse delivery guy I got all 8 for $77! Great deal!

All the pictures of everything are below. Let me know what you guys think!
