This diagram shows the whole grab-**** thing as one part:

And they want $50 dollars for it!! Not sure if this helps, but thought it was worth throwing out there

That is a terrific question lol, I haven't taken mine apart ever so I couldn't tell you. I bet if you got on eBay you could find it for less than that though.

To remove the shifter handle first you have to grab a hold of the chrome stem on the bottom of it and slide it down. Then you'll see the round black plastic keeper . Stick a flat screwdriver in between the top of the keeper and the handle and put pressure on it to slide it down. After it's down all the way now you can lift the handle off, but be careful as there's a small spring that rests on the top of the shifter mechanism and under the handle. Just don't lose that spring and you'll be fine. Lose it and you'll be pulling your hair out trying to find another one anywhere....I know from experience, LOL! Repeat the steps in reverse to put it back together.

lol things like that tend to happen to me when there are small screws/springs. Thank for the warning lol. Doesnt sound to difficult to do thank you for the help. Now to hopefully find it cheaper than $50

LOL! One thing I left out....when removing and re-installing the handle you have to pull out on the push button to get the pin that's inside the handle to thread into the shift mechanism at the top of the shift rod. You'll see what I mean.....it's relatively easy.
