Default Low beam headlights stink

I have seen alot of headlight upgrades on this forum. This week I traveled on an unlit highway, and do my stock headlight STINK. They do not project very far, and the headlights are aligned right. Makes night driving a pain. I would like the lights to brighten up the road ahead of me, but not blind others. The high beams worked just fine, low beams sucked. Is this why I have seen so many headlight upgrades?

Lenses clear as day, not leveled. >14k. Can't be tired yet. Was a real pain driving in the dark AND rain

Has someone changed your bulbs in the past? My stocks are so bright that combined with my lift kit people get pissed when I'm behind them on the highway.

No they are stock. I read there is a Sylvania replacement bulb that is brighter without going hid. Anyone know what model/bulb that might be?

I have Silverstars in my truck and people flash me on the highway when I just have the dims on. I have stock lights and I can see lots with just the dims.

Your looking for the Silverstar line by Sylvania. I run them in both my truck and Mustang. Very good light output. Dim lights have a sort of yellowish look to them, switch to brights and its a cool white light with a hint of blue.
