Soak 'em in WD-40 , give it a couple of minutes and they wipe right off.
They will eat paint if you leave on there too long.
Make sure if you use a dryer sheet you have it very wet.
Those things can be very abrasive.

Thank goodness I don't live in tx anymore, love bug season is one thing I won't miss one bit. Those things get THICK.
