loudest muffler

Default loudest muffler

I bought a flowmaster super 44 muffler for my 04 4.6 f150 and its not quite getting the attention i want, flowmaster says this is their loudest but its kinda wimpy...........what muffler is the best to get the attention i want or should i just cut it off and strait pipe it? (going for LOUDNESS and a little performance never hurt) thanks everyone!

if you want loud go straight pipes

there are many setups louder than straight pipes. you should get some highflow cats.

i bought $20 glass packs from pep-boys on my old truck. they blew out with the 5.9 motor and it sounded like straight pipes but still passed inspection cuz it had a muffler on it. (if that even applies to your state hahaha)

i'm glad i'm not the only one who feels this way with the flowmaster. My buddies tacoma has one and its loud... mine has gotten a little louder since i installed it, but still nothing to be ranting and raving about

you can only go so loud with a 4.6L, but i have super 44s too, and my friends got super 40s on his dodge and they sound real good.

SLP Loudmouth 1. It has no packing whatsoever so it's just the same as straight pipe.

I have the super 40's on my 4.6L and everyone asks if I have a 5.4L. I'm also running 2.5 in, 3 out with 3.5" Long tips if that makes a difference. Not loud in the cab, but I stil can set car alarms go off idling through the company parking garage

yaa i've talked to some of my buddies and they run the 44's .. + i hear them before i can see them LOL

Go with the 44's for trucks.
