Ford actually back on the 2v 5.4 1quart loss of oil every 2-3 weeks is acceptable..... no kidding I worked for ford up until 03 when 6.0 came out and warranty times were ****ty made a lot of us leave. 6.0 was a bad *** engine when stayed together. 7.3 was and always will be the truth though imo

If you don't see a River of oil under your truck you should check your valve cover gaskets. Oil leaks out on the bottom, drips on the header and burns there, no oil on the ground. If you do have a river under the truck check your oil filter, possible the old gasket didn't come off and you have two gaskets on there, which leaks like a...well, you know.
