Have you taken the alt in for testing? Have you checked all your grounds? People have made these suggestions but you havent said if you have tried them.

Is it a remanufactured alternator? Reason being is that the remans can be worse than the one you replaced. Happend to a buddy of mine. Alternator out of the box had a bent shaft, almost rattled the testing box off its table. 'Id suggest taking it out and testing it, most auto parts stores offer free testing.

New alternator or rebuilt or remanufactured are not the same and none are 100% out of the box.

At $99.00, its certainly not a FoMoCo OEM alternator!

To give you an idea as to what you bought:

A quality remanufactured factory OEM alterntor will run about $145.00 to $220.00

A new factory OEM alternator will run about $292.45 (4.6 and 5.4 engines)

He is saying if you want your truck to run correctly then replace broken parts with quality replacement parts. It will save you money in the long run and not be a headache. You started this thread 3 weeks ago. Surely the truck isnt your daily driver.
