losing power?

Default losing power?

i have the 5.4 and i heard that straight piping it makes it lose some power. is that true and any advice?

Have had mine done like that for years. Never lost any kind of power. I also like the sound.

I also removed the muffler and dumped the exhaust under the truck and felt no loss of power maybe even gained some! Also sounds frickin mean!

Straight piping sounds cool, but i dont think it would pass inspection. I've been looking at mufflers and glasspacks, any suggestions to make it sound good for a good price?

I just straight piped my 4.6 last night and there is definitly more power at higher rpms. I can actually pass people on the freeway. Lol

I put a glass pack on first and it was great but removed it and it's even better.

I got a Cherry Bomb but I think they are all pretty much the same! If you still have your cats in try just straight piping the exhaust. You'll love the sound!
