Default losing oil advice/experience

I'm losing considerable mounts of oil. In the past 7k miles Ive lost 4 quarts. Not puttin smoke out the tailpipe so, naturally, I looked for leaks, I've looked and looked but there's no sign of oil anywhere.
I figured if i'm losing oil and not leaking, and my coolant is clean, i must be burning. I figured my cats are just really keeping my exhaust clean.
Now, anyone can see my reluctance to tear into my engine to find a problem. I'm hoping someone has insight into where these engines tend to burn oil, or maybe pick up on something im overlooking. any advice is appreciated.

Normally it should smoke a lot. Is there oil in your coolant at all?

Default oil

Have you ever looked under the truck? Is there oil on the ground in the morning? Four quarts is a lot of oil, is there any thrown up onto the underside of the truck?

That's quite a bit. If your not leaking it and its not in your coolant you have to be burning it. Maybe your PCV is stuck open and its getting sucked into your intake at higher rpm instead at idle speed thus making it more difficult to detect. I know pulling plugs is a bear but if you do you may be able to confirm if your burning it by looking at your plugs.
