Default Looking for some help

My dad has an 08 f150 supercrew with a 5.4---I think. He went to start it and nothing. Turned key off and what sounds like the fuel pump keeps running, Have to unhook battery to get it to stop. Battery is 95% charged. any ideas? I do need a code reader.
Thanks
Jack

Everyone will tell you it's the fuel pump driver module. Fpdm there are several threads about it.

After reading my reply I sounded kind of smug. I didn't mean to come off like that. I've never had the problem with fpdm but have seen a lot of post on here about it with the Same symptoms you are describing

Actually, you:

- start with an accurate, full description of any/all symptoms.
- Pull any / all codes ( even stored pending ones )

Based upon the above, the following steps may also include (but is not limited to): removing/inspecting/testing components, capturing live data, voltage/continuity checks, checking fuses, (which tend to fail far more often than whatever 'relays' you are referring to).

Which reminds me - what are you referring to? ( e.g. fuel pump relay is not serviceable )

OP - back on topic - this thread contains some detailed fuel delivery diagnostic procedures:
