i went the oem route. mine didnt have any of the wiring for power options so i got a complete interior harness from a junk yard for $100, bought all 4 door panels w/ switches for $160, and all 4 motor/regulators for $300. i aleady had aftermarket door lock actuators installed when i got my alarm, i think they were $40 for the pair. kinda high but i prefer the oem look.

thats true, ive seen the aftermarket kits and they do look like a clean install, and the oem regulators are known to have a weak link (some plastic piece that breaks) so if you get a good aftermarket kit it may even be better than oem. my decision was just personal preference.

i would have liked the OEM look myself but i wont have time to find all the stuff and dont feel like doing all that wiring plus the additional cost.... i think when i get done it will look good and the wiring will be alot easier

Finally someone who has actually done it the OEM way. I have all the door panels already I just need to find the harness and regulators. Im going to start looking at junk yards for 2004+ trucks. Thanks for the info

i ordered the regulators new from www.tascafordparts.com they were the cheapest oem i could find. even with the wiring harness its still not plug-n-play, the harness will plug into the switches and motors and connect all the doors together but you will have to wire up the 12 volt +, ground, accessory and a relay. im sure its possible to wire it up like factory but it would've taken a lot more work.
