Default Looking for a hood

After the truck got busted up I need a new hood but thinking of going aftermarket. I like the super snake hood and the Saleen s331 hood but I can't find them anywhere. So doing anyone have any experience with firbeglass or duracoat hoods at all. Looking for any recommendations please, I'm all ears

I've seen the super snake around on a few sites with actual availability. I'd say that's the one to get IMHO.. If I ever swap my hood it will be for that hood.

Yea the only ones I have found are fiberglass or composite and I worried that a fiberglass hood won't hold up to time and still keep its shape

Yea that's one of the first I looked at and I like it for the price and it being steel. Did you have to upgrade ur hood struts due to the added weight

I haven't but yeah I have to get some a bit stronger. My one since then blew and came down on my head and that hurt haha so I use a wood stick to hold it up. I need to get to the parts store to buy new ones.

it can look good but you can't just paint your chrome bumper you have to sandblast the chrome off and then put a primer then paint then clearcoat. Can I see a picture of your truck?

Or you can take them into a powder coater and have them do them. No need to sandblast chrome off when powder coating, or so I have been told. Had a chrome bull bar powder coated and that's what they told me. It held up for 3 years before I sold the vehicle. No issues when it was sold.
