Hello guys, I'm new here and I had some questions of an 2008 FX4 I'm interested in buying. The truck is used and being sold for around $6000. The exterior and interior of the truck look good and supposedly it has 186k miles. My questions is, is the price good for the truck? Also what are your opinions on it? The seller posted some pictures and the picture of the engine bay is what gives me second thoughts. I currently own a 2001 Lariat but the engine gave out so that's why I'm looking for another truck. Any opinions/info are welcome and appreciated.

 

Has the timing components, water pump, and oil pump been replaced? What about the last spark plug change?

Price screams that there’s a problem. I sold my ‘04 FX4 CC 155k this pst June for $10k, with several upgrades.

What is the engine build date ? It may have the redesigned heads and VCT/plugs.

 

Damn that looks too good to be true. As others have said do you know if anything is wrong with it or it's history

I'd agree with the others. I have an 08 Lariat as well. That one has a few options that mine doesn't, and mine blue books for twice that amount. I have 165K on mine

 

Price is to low.. Be wary. My ultra low mile '08 King ranch was much more..lol Listen to the others.

 

Unfortunately I do not have any more info on the truck. I have not talked to the seller I have mostly just been looking at different trucks that are for sale. I do want to go look at the truck in person and talk to the seller but I have not been able to go. The problem is that sometimes sellers in my area do not like to be asked too many questions or just plain lie in order to make the sell.
