Default LockPick

Does anyone have this installed on their truck?

http://www.coastaletech.com/ford360lockpick.htm

Just trying to get everyone's opinion to see if it's worth it. I just really want a backup camera but don't have to have to install any extra screens. I'll probably never use the dvd function. Thanks

Expensive if you only want a camera/backup screen. For a couple hundred more, you could get the backup camera/DVD/GPS/radio/Bluetooth hands free phone double DIN setup. I've seen them on Ebay for the price of this unit you posted.

Yeah, I've seen those no-name units. You get what you pay for with them and i like the factory look. If I can find a ford emblem back up camera from the 09s for a decent price, I might just go ahead and do this. Just seeing if anyone had any other ideas or company's that have this. (or if anyone has any reviews of this product). Thanks

I think Atom is your audio man. I'm sure he'll chime in.

Found this older thread with the search. Just trying to follow up and see if you ever completed this install?
I was looking at the lockpick myself and also have an 07 with factory nav.
I can't tell if this kit will allow our units to play dvds or not?
Anybody else out there with 04-08 that has used this product?

I too wonder if the $240 is worth it. I have a 2010 King Ranch, with factory backup camera and Nav.
Sounds like the changes for my truck would be:
-camera function can be viewed in ANY gear
-Nav input while in motion is enabled
-DVD play in Drive is enabled

Am I missing anything? Anybody purchase this (or any other similar product?)

I bought my XLT w// 6disc mp3 and am looking to upgrade finally to a factory nav system. This seems to be the only device out there that will allow all three functions to the factory system. I found them back in 07, so if they are still up and running, I would have to at the very least say its worth a shot to anyone that has the system already. Hopin this next check I'll get mine from eBay.

Ok so I called the people at Lockpick yesterday and they said that if you don't have a Sync capable head unit then it will not allow it to play dvd's.
I guess I will have to try and find a nav unit that is sync capable. Mine is a 2007 w/ nav., does anyone know if the 08 models will play DVD's from the factory?

I do not believe the 08's will allow you to play dvds. Its only the 09 and ups (the 09's and up are the only ones with sync, so I'm assuming that is why they are saying those are the only ones that play dvds). The 09's navi are basically hard drives, while our 07's aren't.

Not 100 percent sure on this, i'm sure someone else will chime in .
