Default Loads of codes

Hello all,

first time on a discussion board. My ‘04 F150 heritage 4.2 V6 4R70W has a bunch of codes and only has 2nd gear. I pulled codes and got the following:
p0161, p1747, p1000, p0740, p0753, p0758, p0743, p0141, p0750, p0755, p1760

history since issue started:
inspected fuses
installed new/rebuilt transmission.
Removed and inspected transmission control wire harness
replaced PCM

any help is appreciated before I spend another truck value on my truck. I love it had since it was 1 year old and 14k miles.

260k+ miles now. No major work until this.

If you've got the heritage that looked like the 2003 model you need to ask that in the 10th gen subforum, as the PCM and stuff is totally different than the 2004-2008 stuff.
With all those codes I'd guess you've got an electrical problem, but I'm not familiar with the 10th gen.

Default Always the outcast

Yes it’s true. It’s a really really really late 03… I’ll move it there. It’s an 04 though. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to prove it. Even at the parts store. It’s not an F150. It’s an F150 Heritage.

thanks for replying.

I would suggest to look at the fuse for the rear 02 sensors .
On the 04-98 the fuse for the rear 02s also poers many of the trans sensors. Looking at your codes seems to suggest this as well.

Sorry about that all. I don’t have a garage and it’s cold outside. Might be another couple weeks before I can try out these suggestions. I promise to hit this back up when solved.

Default Solved!!!

This was solved. The trans side of the pcm to bulkhead harness had a sharp radius at the same point it was touching the battery tray corner. I assume this will coming up on other trucks soon I would guess. I fixed the wires and zip tied them away from the battery tray.
