Default Little Help

hey guys i have a 04 F150 and i have a paint problem. On my front bumper just below my headlights I have 4 or 5 really bad bug splatters from this seasons love bugs. Does anyone use something they recommend for removing really bad bug splatter?

Very hot water helps a lot along with a clean microfiber towel. Get off all the junk you can with the hot water and gental rubbing before you really get after it. Then make sure to put some wax or other protective finish on the truck. I myself use Ultima (polymer) sealant and those pesky bugs wash right off. Good luck.

I would have never believed this would work until I tired it myself, but try some dryer sheets. Yes the same dryer sheets you throw in with your clothes. Simply wet your bumper and then start rubbing away with the dyer sheets. I just moved to Hawaii from Mississippi 5 months ago so I know all about the love bugs, they are some horrible little creatures.

Yes they (dryer sheets) work on chrome but I think he has bugs on the painted area. The dryer sheets are a little rough for painted surfaces IMHO. The key is to protect the surfaces so things won't stick; at least as easily.

Diesel fuel, kerosene, or WD-40 then a little soap and water to remove the residue left by the above mentioned.

They sell "bug & tar" remover at the local parts stores.
I believe they are oil based.
