for light connection
if you have the **** that turns to the left (so the lights come on automatically at dark) AND your switch has the icon for fog lights...pulling the switch towards you should activate the fog lights (provided you have them)...you can leave the switch in this configuration so that when the lights come on automatically at dark the fogs come on as well...

No wonder pulling the switch did nothing! Oh well. IF I can locate a connection for foglights . or another lights, and decide to get them, I guess I'll need to get a new switch for them. All have a great day.

the position to the left is not a Daytime Running Light position it is the Autolamp position if your truck has it and the other is for Fog Lights if your truck has them which you've stated you do not...
Good luck,

Just using the terms used in the owners manual, we will see what happens. May not even do anything!
...copied from the owner's manual...
HEADLAMP CONTROL
Rotate the headlamp control
clockwise to the first position to
turn on the parking lamps. Rotate
clockwise to the second
position to also turn on the
headlamps.
Autolamp control (if equipped)
The autolamp system provides light
sensitive automatic on-off control of
the exterior lights normally
controlled by the headlamp control.
The autolamp system also keeps the
lights on for approximately
20 seconds or on vehicles equipped
with a message center, you can
select a delay from 0–180 seconds,
after the ignition switch is turned to
OFF.
me too...perhaps we have different Owners Manuals for our 2007 F150s...

What does your manual show on next page from what you provided? Maybe I was calling one thing another, my switch shows that icon for auto lamp on the left side, no fog lights icon.
I do know that when the remote onlooker is used when it is dark, the headlights and taillights come on for a period off time. When I am driving during the day and turn to that icon, the instrument panel lights come on and I think that headlights. But if it gets light enough, they go out. That its why I thought the Daylight Running Lights function is what I have. Either way, the truck runs.

if your vehicle has the Daytime Running Lights they come on when you start your truck during the day and there is no position for this...it is how the lights are wired from the factory...if you manually turn your headlights on during the day (or it is dark during the day and you have the Auto position enabled the head lights and tail lights would come on) this cancels out the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs)...
...Daytime Running Lights do not illuminate your tail lights...
I hope this helps...
