Default Light bar fix

Looking at buying an 04 f150 and it has a light bar mounted to the roof that i would want to remove. What would be the best way to seal the holes back up?

Your easiest (and probably best) fix would be to find a different truck. There are literally thousands of trucks out there for sale. Find one that doesn't have holes in the roof.

Agreed.

But if your heart is set on it. Figure out how big the hole is for the cable and get a rubber plug for it. Put a little silicone around the center piece for the plug and inside the truck cab. It's the same thing we did for old cruisers when plugging antenna mount holes.

The bar mounts look like they're in the channel, which can probably be sealed with some rtv silicone.

If he drilled out for the cable (i didn't think of this) than i will definitely pass on this truck.

I am trying to find an 11th gen f150 with the 5.4L 4x4 for $5000 with less than 150K miles so i am not finding to many to chose from.

All depends on where you live and what you want. Use this and change the zip code filter to your zip code and see what you can find.

That's how I found mine, had to drive two hours to get it, but I feel like it was worth it.

Surprisingly $5k is very low for these trucks these days. I haven't seen a decent one below $10k (most higher than that). There are reasons the ones at $5k are at $5k - like holes drilled into the roof.

LOL or phaser problems, Plug problems, et. To get a good reliable 4x4 truck with a V8 and no problems under $5k will be tough. Im sure its possible but it will be difficult.
