Default Lift stack

Can I stack a 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch leveling kit to give me more height? Idk if that would hurt anything or bind anything up?

Probably not a good idea. Maybe a 1.5 spacer tops. Look into lift spindles to complement it maybe. Think camburg makes em.

Most commonly people use a body lift.

I was told by the mechanic who put my lift on that I could put it on there and a add a leaf in the back and shouldnt have a problem but then I hear from some you can't and I know people who have done it so I don't know what to do

Don't mess with front end geometry any more than you need to. Add a body lift instead. Body lifts are inexpensive an wont mess with geometry. I have a 6" suspension with a 3" body and I love it. The rear however, you can put a block and AAL or whatever together no prob. No steering components to contend with.
