love the tide maybe you can clear something up for me
Using aftermarket wheels you can run 35s on a 4WD if the wheels follow these guidelines:
-For an 8" wide wheel the backspacing is 5.5 inches.
-For and 8.5" wide wheel the backspacing needed is 5 inches.
-For an 9" wide wheel the backspacing is 5.5-5.7 inches.
this is from the tire and fitment thread you posted question is why is a 8" wheel and a 9" wheel the same back spacing but the 8.5" wheel is different

I posted that because I have seen memebers use that size wheel and face minimal trimming. I didn't post 5.5"s of backspacing simply because I haven't seen people run it on 8.5 inche wheels but technically it should work IMO. All of the stuff I said in that thread id what I found on other forums and worked for other people. I need to go back and tweak that thread.

I appreciate the posting it gave me some kind of idea what to look for it just confused me a little as far as backspacing between the widths of the rims

If you look at it again you can see where I made a couple changes to it but I'm sure it still has loop holes in it.

Wow! I don't know if it's the best but I really appreciate that.

Thank you.

I have been looking into a leveling kit, too. I found two Tuff Country 2" kits. One requires the shock/struts compressed, the other doesn't. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?

it will ba a big pain in the *** to compress the shock and strut besides being dangerous, the best and easiest kits to install are the ones that bolt on top of the strut u wont loose you factory ride and youll gain you lift up front

So if 325/60/18 fit on a 2.5" leveling kit, will there be any rubbing or any triming involved, on my 2006 crewcab 4x4?
