Default leveling kit..wheels and tires

I'm trying to help a friend purchase a leveling kit, wheels and tires for his 05 F150 STX

Just looking for suggestions or ideas that anyone might have or have seen done before.

Right now he is looking for 18" wheels
What is the size of the rim that is needed?? Is is 18x9? What is the offset?

How big of a tire can he fit after putting the leveling kit on his truck??

Any help would be greatly appreciated
If anyone has any pics of their trucks with something similar please include with your post

Thanks!

I would reccomend a 2inch leveling kit, and i know Tuff Country makes a good one. This leveling kit enables you to have up to 35inch tires. As for tires there are many different choices and it just depends on what he likes and where he plans on taking his truck. My personal favorite is the BFGoodrich All Terrain KO. They look good and will last a long time. They also perform well off road and on the pavement. With an 18 inch rim a 285/65/18 would be good, they are 33s which are plenty big for a leveling kit. Just giving you something to go off of, hope it helps.

First off have to know 2 or 4 wheel drive this makes a difference a 2" level on a 2 wheel drive will fit up to a 33" tire on a 4 wheel drive a 2" can fit up to a 35" tire the stock 18" rim on our trucks is a 7.5" rim with a 5.5" back spacing I have 305 65 R18 = 33.7" tire on my truck they are on the stock rims I have no rubbing issues do plan on getting new rims once I figure out the backspacing part of it myself

IMO, 305/65-18's are proportionally the best looking tire on a leveled truck. This is my truck with Bilstein 5100's (2" level) and 305's. I also have 18" FX4 wheels on my XLT.

18 x 9 Eagle Alloy 197's Offset is -11mm which means it will make your tires stick out more than stock
