Can anyone tell me if i have to do anything to my rear suspension if i get a 2.0 in or 2.5 leveling kits on my 05 f150? Also which size is better to go with and what brand is the best.

Also any other helpful upgrades to my it more efficition?

 

For the 05 get a 2.5". Hell Bent Steel is a good brand to go with, very reputable. And no you will not need to alter anything with your rear suspension. However you'll probably want to get your front end realigned once you install it.

 

Exactly what he said. 2.5 will be fine just get an alignment afterwards.
I went with the hell bent steel 3" level with a 2" pro comp add a leaf and I'll be getting a 3" body lift soon to bump me up to a 6" lift

 

I did the 3" leveling kit and that was it!

 

The level will likely be a 2.5". When your truck is on flat ground, measure from the ground to the highest point of the wheel well on the front and rear tires. That will tell you how high you have to go. Everyones truck is different due to years, shock wear, etc..

You don't need to do anything to the rear if you want to level the truck. When a truck is leveled, it will be nose high once you load the bed with something which some people dont like. So you can do the add-a-leaf if you haul a lot of stuff, but for the most part, people like to level it to make it look good. Always keep in mind, trucks come from the factory leaning forward because they were meant to haul stuff, not look pretty. When your leveled truck is weighed down in the rear, it looks like a wimp :P. But if you don't haul much in the bed, don't worry about it.
