With the new coils and struts mounted and the entire weight of the truck on the lower control arms, the upper control arm is still touching the coil. It looks like with the new strut assembly (which are the same specs as stock), and the 2 inch level, my truck will be sitting about 6 inches higher than it was before lol. Never seen coils so unbelievably stiff in my life...Doesn't even look safe to drive...Has anyone ever installed these same Monroe strut assembly's and had the same problem? I haven't got it all together with the tires on yet but it sure is going to look dumb if it's sitting way higher in the front. I'm almost certain the shocks have to be ridiculously stiff, only thing I can think of.

Put the tires on and set on the ground and post some pics for us to see, it may help troubleshooting to see pics.

I think it worked out. took 2 of us, one to bottom out the upper control arm and one to line everything up and thread the nut onto the ball joint. Even with entire weight of vehicle on control arms the upper ball joint was still touching the coil...I finally got both sides put together, threw tires on and dropped it down.

With the weight on the tires it pulled the control arms out a good inch+ from coil. So basically, the weight on control arms varies quite a bit then weight on the tires, pulls arm out more instead of pushing back into coil. Had 5 coworkers (techs) looking at it before I threw tires on and they all said, somethings not right lol.

Maybe doing it on one side at a time would have been easier? I had the whole truck on a lift and did both sides at the same time, don't know if that made it any more difficult for me.

But in the end it worked out, hope them springs settle just a bit because right now the front is about 1/2" higher than the back...wouldn't mind putting a block in rear later on if I have too. Only thing I tow is a 4 wheeler trailer with portable ice shack so shouldn't look too stupid goin down the road ridin a wheelie.

Now just need some 35's on there!

Before with broken coils...

After with 2" lift and new strut assembly.

Glad it worked out for you, not sure if the coils will loosen up and bring the front end down or not.
Good luck
Tom

You could just get your headlights re-aimed.

Never knew how much a 2" level and some bigger tires can change the appearance of a truck! Actually feels like a truck now!
