Leveling kit
The Rancho 9000XL Struts leveled my truck without the need for the level kit. I was shocked by how high it sat after installing. I like it.

This was my '04 Lariat 4x4 with a 2-1/2" Daystar leveling kit. Running 315x70x17 BFG TA/KO's on 17x9 American Racing wheels. Had to do some trimming on the lower front wheelwells to clear when turning. This picture was taken over 10 yrs ago.
I purchased a 2" leveling kit from ruff country, the kit included rear add a leaf and front strut spacers. During checkout, I misinterpreted upgraded shocks thinking the shocks would be for the front coil overs. The upgraded shocks actually added a solid 2" lift to the rear. Since I had gone that far, I decided I wouldn't want to replace rear shocks and leave the stock struts in the front so I ordered rancho super lift coil over struts that added 2.5" to the front. Original tires on the truck are 255/70/r17 and I am currently having 285/70r17's mounted on stock rims (17x7.5 wide). The strut spacers combined with the rancho super lift struts have pushed the front CV shaft to a very disturbing angle and the strut coil spring has been pushed out into contacting the upper control arm. Needless to say, I'm having the strut spacers removed. I also installed 1.5" wheel spacers to eliminate any chance of the tires rubbing the control arms.
Rear fender heighth after add a leaf and shocks.<br/>

I'm new on this and don't have any pictures on my truck yet but my 2008 F150 super crew seems to have a 3.75" to 4" rake. I do some towing and don't want to be front high but would like to bring the front up a little. I can't decide between a 1.5" or 2". I'm putting 33's on it later this month. Would it be safer to just go with the 2"?
