Sorry, just read the second part. A 2" will put you right where you want to be if you want the front end lower like you said.

I hope not. I just don't want a droopping rear end when I haul a little mulch or something.

But it's interesting that a 3" in a FX4 didn't bring the front end higher than the rear. But mayb the FX4 has a different height than a 4x4 Lariat.

I had stock was 36 5/8 front and 41" in back with stock set up on everything. I have askedaround in a few forums and they all say about the same. I think its just how fx4 susp is set up.
I think my shocks in front are wearing out though. This truck has taken a beating over the past 6 years and still running strong with mostly stock.

Mine was 41" in the back as well on a Lariat. Actually it's not stock. I have the OEM 20" with a 60 series tire on it instead of a 55 series that came on it. So I would be at 40.5" if I had the OEM 55 series tire.

Ah see i have stock 18" rims with 275/65 tires when i measured. I will go on level ground one of these days and measure with the 295/65/18 i have now.

I wish I had 18" wheels. Jumping up to a 65 series on a 20" wheel is another $70/tire.

These 5/8" and 1/8" measurements are just killing me. Your measurement will vary that much just from a full tank of gas compared to a quarter tank. Also, backing up a 4wd toes in the front end, so you need to pull it forward on level ground to do these measurements.
