Should i be able to see them project out into the road any? I thought it was more just for exterior looks.

No, you shouldnt be able to see them projected. Thats why I was asking if they did was all. I had thought about drilling some holes into my SALEEN grill, but then the light inside my head turned on and I couldnt chop up the grill

Be careful with putting LED's in your grill! It looks sweet. But i made the mistake of putting blue LED's in my grill, and i was told by a cop to take them out (probably not the smartest idea on my part), but it looked sweet. The cop also told me i could have green because that's the volunteer firefighter color. He said the only colors you could have on the front of a vehicle is white. Which might not be true in other states. Just check the laws before you install any LED's in your grill.

I had my lights wired into my cigarette lighter for the power source then to a switch, then through the cab to the engine compartment, to the grill. I used stereo wire. Worked like a champ until i had to move it under the hood. Heres a cell phone pic. I thought it looked kinda cool. Maybe overdoing it a bit...haha
