Default LED headlight question

I'm about to order these lights to replace the factory ones currently in my truck. http://www.carid.com/2004-ford-f-150...ct-details-tab

Can I put the 9008 size LED bulb in place of the halogen bulb?

Of course. But why buy brighter bulbs to install into tinted lenses? I am guessing to get "the look". Save your money and get a good retrofit, because you seeing better at night is better than people seeing your headlights that look cool in the day time.

Damn, I pasted the wrong link haha. I meant to post the ones with clear lenses, I think the smoked lenses are pointless

Aha, in that case many people here have used led 9008 led bulbs in factory housings with success and didn't blind others.

Been having a tough time finding the 9008 size and no place around here carries them. Anyone know where to get the 9008 size? I looked online and found a pair on eBay for $14 but don't really trust eBay all that much.

Just got the LEDs in and installed. However, one is brighter then the other and neither will switch over to the high beams. They stay the same brightness when the brights are turned on and off.

Just tested them out in the dark, the Silverstar Ultras I had in before were much brighter than the LEDs. Going to switch back.
