X2 on the relay. And if your cruise control no longer works the lights are the problem.

LED bulbs use a very low current draw, as compared to a standard filiment bulb. The flasher looks for a current draw of a standard bulb. You have two choices to correct this:

1) Install a load resister in series for each bulb

2) Buy a new flasher that works with low current LED bulbs

I highly recommend the LED type flasher. If your local parts store doesn't have these, you can order one from www.superbrightleds.com. This way, the standard or LED bulbs will work normally with this flasher. Load resisters would cause a standard bulb to flash too slow.

As to the cruise control, the cruise circuit looks for a "load/no load" on the brake light circuit, based on the brakes applied (disables cruise) or not applied (cruise enabled). Since LED bulbs use low current, the cruise circuit is confused. Some aftermarket LED taillights have a built in load resister, allowing the cruise to work with their LED taillights.

If you used bulbs instaed of a complete taillight assembly, your cruise will not work without load resisters, which I'm against, as it requires you to cut and solder the load resisters into the factory wiring. Should you ever go back to regular bulbs, these load resisters have to be removed.

Try a mechanical blinker relay instead of the factory one... should work then

O.K., here's the link:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/tail-brake-turn.html

scroll down to "LED ELECTRONIC FLASHER", select the one for Ford. Under 15 bucks. I installed it in my 2005; I have the multi yellow LED bulbs in the front headlight assemblies, with the standard bulbs in the rear taillight assemblies. Turn signals work "normally", and cruise works too.

Replace your T/signal relay with an EP27 relay from any parts store.
