Default KYB Strut Plus Spring Issue?

I just replaced the UCA's, lower balljoints, and coilovers in my 08 FX4 about a month ago. UCA's and lower ball joints are Moog's, and for the coilovers I went with the KYB Strut-Plus really just for ease of installation. I've been noticing I still have a clunk going over bumps and after looking at the springs, they look way too compressed, like everytime I hit a bump the coils hit each other. I attached some pictures, does this look normal? If not does anybody have recommendations on springs, I know Bilstein 5100's are the recommended shock/strut. I have a 2" AS leveling kit and 275-65-20 BFG's if that makes a difference. I appreciate any input.

Have you replaced your swaybar endlinks? If not, thats probably whats clunking iver bumps. I used moog ones at i think $30 per side from amazon, and it fixed my clunking over bumps.

Sway bar links looked good when I was replacing everything else. I will double check though. Not sure what the issue is. It just seems like the spring is compressed too much. It only looks like maybe a 1/4" or so between coils. Pretty much all my driving is on the street so I'm not really putting a lot of unnecessary stress on the suspension.

Are you sure they have the correct spring rate for the coil over ? And it's hard to tell when you have a bad link I had the issue and I checked them and they seemed fine but once I felt the difference between old and new you can tell the diff and mine stop clunking

And maybe the 4WD trucks have a different strung than 2wd due to The 4wd having a front axle so it's more weight and may require a higher spring rate than a 2wd, and maybe you bought one for a 2wd ( but I could be wrong just a idea)

I thought about that but I checked and 4077 is the correct part for the 4wd. The only thing I saw noted was "except heavy duty suspension". I don't know if that refers to FX4 or not. If so maybe that is where I went wrong.

I think the heavy duty is the rare 7 lug f150

I believe you are correct and I do not have that.

After reading your posts above I may go ahead and replace the sway bar links anyways. After looking at them I didn't realize they had a flexible joint on the one end. Being that the upper and lower ball joints and tie rod ends were shot, I suppose those could be too. I will go ahead and swap them out then everything will be new up front. Hopefully that does it. I still don't think those springs look right though.

Are you still bottoming that spring out? I am considering buying these struts, but the coils look way too close together.
