Thanks for the link. Checked out the site and forum. Guess I will hold off just a little longer and give this a shot. With the cab/box/space issue, I may go with a single 12" running 2 ohms and leave space for tools, etc. under the remainder of the back seat. Not looking to blow the doors off or win any sq comps, but this sounds like it may be just right for me. If I have to mount to one side based on box designs and space issues, which would you reccomend, as in passenger or driver side?

A single BM will be more than enough output for the average person, and the sound quality and flat frequency extension is second to none in this install situation. As for placement, the driver's side will be easier to build a box since you don't have the middle seat bracket in the way. However, if you can build a nifty box that curves around that bracket on the passenger side, you will have a lot more room for tools on the driver's side. Its only half a cubic foot of airspace, you can easily build a cool little box on that side if you are decent with woodworking, fiberglass etc.

Just ordered my sub and amp yesterday, should be getting it in a week. 12 inch kicker cvr 4ohm loaded ported enclosure with 300.1 zx amp. Decided to go with 12 inch over 2 10 inch to save space/money and get the same results.

I just want to say whether it's behind your seat or somewhere else I doubt it'll over heat. I have mine under my driver side seat right in front of the heater and every morning I drive with it on 2-3 full heat through the floor and it never overheats. Just my .02

Sounds like we will be having ours about the same time. Let me know how the cvt with 400.1 works out for ya. I went 300.1 because I don't want my brains on the windshield lol. And the cvt was sold out so I went cvr. Also just regular cab so it should be plenty.

Yeah I have a Reg cab also, I can always turn the gains down if my brains hit windshield haha, but I expect the shallow mount to not be very powerful, hopefully I'm wrong bc I like bass lol

Cvt will still hit like mad. I may be wrong but pretty sure they're same power output as the comp series
